Artists at Work:  Anatomy of a Successful Art Walk / Opening Tools
January 21, 2010, 6:00 - 7:30pm
Chicago Cultural Center
78 E. Washington, Chicago
312-262-9866

Throughout 2010, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs will present Artist At Work Forums on various issues related to Studio Chicago. This artists at work Forum will host a panel discussing successful artwalks and the development neighborhood business.  Join business development consultant Mark Zak, Paula Barrington (Bucktown Wicker Park SSA and Chamber of Commerce), Tracy Kosteabader (Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival) and Leigh Fagin of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs in a discussion about the tools for hosting a successful artwalk and develop neighborhood business.   Best practices from 2009 Chicago Artists Month art openings will feature arts business development and strategy; ways to develop more traffic into galleries and retailers during the art opening; and how to develop strategic alliances within their respective neighborhoods between other art forms and business.
